Nice apartment complex with full service amenities, such as gym, concierge services, etc. The lobby is well designed and the decorations are good. It is very convenient with doors on the 1st and 2nd floor. Very close to Whole Foods and, recently, the High Line direct access was opened.
Have lived in this building since 2020 and the team here has become our family. Edwin, Jimmie, Kai, Besnik, Ian, Phaedra and Justine never forget to stop to take a moment to hang out with our pup Watson on walks and they greet us with a smile to make sure we feel welcomed home.
They are also amazing event hosts - we’ll never forget getting engaged on the roof!!
There are too many great team members to name but truly everyone who has worked the front desk this past year is incredible.
So absolutely blessed to have called The Eugene my home for almost 3 years now. From the best front desk staff, to the most helpful office, to the most efficient and time-prioritized service people who keep the building together--everyone goes above and beyond to truly make this place a home vs a place to live. I also challenge anyone to find more closet space in NYC!
I’ve been a resident now - almost close to a year, and the Eugene is truly a unique place to live in the city. The management team / staff are some of the friendliest and warmest people I have come across. Jamie, Bes, and everyone in the building creats the most welcoming environment - helping with any issue and always treating everyone with kindness. The building feels like a big family and all the residents are extremely friendly.
The Eugene is an amazing place to call home. The location is perfectly located but what really sets it apart are the staff and the amenities. Cris in the leasing office was super easy to work with, Josh leads a spectacular monthly bookclub, maintenance responds quickly, and the front desk always shares a smile and welcome greeting. The amenities are absolutely out of this world and the community events on the rooftop from live jazz to yoga are an exceptional value add.
I really really regret choosing this building. This building is a disaster waiting to happen. The elevators are not just a minor inconvenience, they`re a constant source of frustration. It`s become a daily occurrence to wait for what seems like an eternity hoping that more than one elevator is operational. It`s a nightmare to play elevator roulette every day. And let`s talk about the management - or lack thereof. It`s like they adopted a policy of willful ignorance. Complaints fall on deaf ears, and the promised improvements are nothing but empty words. Maintenance requests linger in limbo, leaving residents to deal with all these issues, issues that are unresolved and that accumulate.
The services offered here are a joke!!! For the astronomical rent we pay, one would expect a concierge service that actually caters to residents needs. Instead, we are met with indifference, and incompetence. If you think that you will be living in a safe and secure building, you are mistaken. I have witnessed unauthorized individuals roaming the premises without anyone batting an eye.
In conclusion, this building is the textbook example of false advertising, mismanagement, and unfulfilled promises. If you enjoy the idea of paying a premium for subpar living conditions, and unresponsive management, then by all means, move in. Otherwise, save yourself for anguish and explore other more reputable options.
I've been living in Eugene for over 1,5 years now and have been LOVING IT! The apartment is perfect, the Public spaces are beautiful, rooftop views - out of this world …
super overpriced and not worth it!!!! Management pays no attention to the tenants and never replies to any questions or concerns you may have. The building windows have not been cleaned since I have been here for over 2 years. The amenities …
